SPRING 2017 PROGRAM AT ELITE OF ROWLAND HEIGHTS

ELITE'S SPRING PROGRAM FOR SAT & ACT PREPARATION AND ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT

| SAT PREP PROGRAM

Elite offers an intensive 9-week SAT Preparation Program to help students prepare for the March, May and June SAT. Our SAT Preparation Program consists of a weekly SAT practice test and three classes (in Reading, Writing and Language, and Math). The practice test is approximately four hours long and the classes are one and one-half hour each. The weekly practice tests are supplemented by a curriculum of lessons designed to help students develop their skills in mathematical problem-solving, critical reading, grammar, and impromptu essay writing. 

| ACT PREP PROGRAM

Elite will also offer intensive 9-week ACT preparation courses to help students prepare for the April and June ACT. Students will take a full length practice ACT weekly and attend 4.5 hours of lecture classes in Math, Science, Reading, and English. Students who have taken SAT Reasoning Test previously and are currently enrolled in AP and Honors classes at their high schools should consider taking ACT to show an impressive score on their college application. Most colleges require ACT plus Writing for admission purposes.

AP EXAM & SAT SUBJECT TEST PREP PROGRAMS

Elite also offers SAT Subject and AP Preparation Programs for students planning to these tests in May and June. Our expert instructors know their subjects inside and out, and are ready to help you hone your test-taking skills.

We will be offering courses for the following subjects:

  • AP & Subject Test Biology
  • AP & Subject Test Chemistry
  • AP & Subject Test Physics
  • AP Calculus AB
  • SAT Subject Test Math Level 2
  • AP English Language
  • SAT Subject Test Literature

ELITE QUAD 3-2-1 LEARNING SYSTEM

The Elite Quad 3-2-1 Learning System, also known as a GPA management program, offers individual, subject-specific aid for students who would like to achieve and maintain excellence in school. Available subjects include:

  • Math (Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus)
  • Science (Honors and AP Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)

There is a maximum of three students in each session, but each student is taught independently resulting in an efficient and still individualized learning process.

*Please Note: Prior to enrolling in the SAT Preparation Program at Elite, students must take a diagnostic test and meet with one of our counselors. The diagnostic test and follow up conference are free of charge.

Students may register to take either the SAT or the SAT Subject Tests, but may not take both types of tests on the same test date. Furthermore, students may take up to 3 SAT Subject Tests on the same test date. (The Subject Tests are one-hour multiple choice tests.)

REGISTRATION DEADLINES FOR THE ACT 

The regular and late registration deadlines for the upcoming administrations of the ACT are listed below. Almost all colleges accept both the SAT and ACT for the admission to college. The ACT includes a science section, and students who tend to perform better on this science section after taking an advanced level science class in the junior year.
